Paying for a parent
ViYomi · בעברית
This page is for the contacts of a family that uses ViYomi, usually the children, to pay for the paid version on the parent's behalf, whatever phone the parent has.
Your number is a contact of more than one parent. Each can be paid for separately.
What each version includes
| Free | Paid, ₪19 a month per family | |
|---|---|---|
| Contacts who get alerts | One, the main contact | Up to five |
| Voice call | No | Yes |
| No | Yes | |
| Alerts | Up to two a month | No limit |
The subscription renews every month and can be canceled at any time. The parent's reminders are never limited, in either version.
Privacy on this page
A phone number is entered here. If it belongs to an active contact of a family, a one-time code valid for fifteen minutes is sent to it by SMS, and once the code is entered, the page shows only the parent's name and the state of the paid version. In the page's records, the number, the code, the sign-in identifier and the IP address are kept only as hashes, not in plain text. They are used to check the code and to limit repeated attempts, and are deleted after a day. The SMS with the code is kept in the message log and deleted after 90 days, but the code itself is removed from it as soon as it is sent.
There is no card processor for payments on this page yet. Before paying opens, this page will name the processor, what it receives and what we keep.
Payments on this page go through Paddle, the Merchant of Record for the subscription: Paddle takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles refunds. Payment details, email address and country are entered in Paddle's payment window and kept by Paddle, under its privacy policy, not by us. We give Paddle only an identifier of the family and a random code for the payment, to know whom the payment is for. We keep only the subscription's Paddle ID, until when it is paid and whether it was canceled, and the payment's code with when it started. The code of a payment that was not completed is deleted after a week, and the rest with the family's data. When the family's data is deleted, the subscription is canceled too, and nothing more is charged. If canceling does not go through at once, the subscription's ID is kept until it does.
